Entry Level Installer

Audio/Video – Automation – Cabling - Home Theater - Security

 

We are a small, stable, but growing, Commercial & Residential Audio/Video and Custom Electronics Integration firm in York, Pennsylvania. We are looking for an Entry Level A/V Installer – Automation/Control Systems Technician. Digital Panacea has an outstanding reputation and we are growing quickly because of that, so we are in need of quality CE Installers!

We specialize in Commercial projects, Educational projects and Custom Residential projects. Applications include Boardrooms, Home Theater/Cinemas, Multi-zone Audio, Automation/Control Systems (including Security & Fire Systems), Lighting Control, and much much more.

In order to qualify for this position you must have, or be about to complete, a Technical School program that has a focus as a Custom Electronics Installer. You must be able to meet the majority of the “Requirements” listed below, and have at least a 3.35 GPA.

 

Requirements:

  • You MUST take pride in your work AND enjoy what you do everyday

  • Field experience installing Commercial & Residential Audio/Video systems, Automation/Control systems and IT/Structured Wiring infrastructure cabling products, proper installation and termination techniques of same is a PLUS but not required for this position

  • Your own quality hand tools, including a mutilmeter, so as to effect a quality and professional installation; specialized tools will be provided

  • Knowledge of current NEC Electrical Codes and Building Codes

  • Installation and programming knowledge of system controllers and accessories; HAI & Crestron a plus! Knowledge of any of the following security systems: Ademco, GE, DSC is also a PLUS

  • Knowledge of programming control interfaces such as Crestron, NEVO, RTI, Universal Remote

  • Computer proficiency-Windows, Office (Outlook is a must), Visio; networking skills are a plus

  • Experience reading wiring diagrams and system design drawings

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, system testing skills, and good ability to “ think on your feet”

  • Ability to produce good active project documentation

  • Pride in your personal appearance

  • Superior interpersonal skills for communication with clients & colleagues

  • Ability to listen & learn from others

  • Minor and occasional travel may be required (Approximately 2-5 days a month and may be out of state)

  • CE certifications are a plus

  • Clean driving record

  • Must be able to pass a full and complete background check

  • Skills assessment test required during interview process

 

Salary is commensurate with experience! Good pay is available BUT ONLY IF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS ARE MET.

Late model truck (M/B Sprinter) provided for travel to and from jobs.

Continuing Education provided, work boot stipend after first year, periodic Industry Trade Show attendance, Product purchase discount program, accrued paid vacation after first year of full time employment.

In order to qualify for this position you must have a minimum of 3 years field experience as a Custom Electronics Installer, as described in the “Requirements” listed below, and be considered at least Intermediate/Advanced Level with your skills.

  • Knowledge of current NEC Electrical Codes and Building Codes

  • Experience with Fiber Optic termination and testing

  • Up to date knowledge of any of the following security systems: Ademco, GE, DSC

  • Project management skills to work alone, when necessary, to take project from concept to completion

  • Experience programming control interfaces such as Crestron, NEVO, RTI, Universal Remote

  • Strong commercial & residential audio/video installation background

  • Computer proficiency-Windows, Office (Outlook is a must), Visio; networking skills are a plus

  • Experience reading wiring diagrams and system design drawings

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, system testing skills, and good ability to “think on your feet”

  • Ability to produce good active project documentation

Executive Assistant

 

Part-Time (25 - 30 Hours per week)

 

Performs administrative duties for executive management.

Responsibilities include screening calls, making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports and financial data, training and supervising other support staff, and customer relations.

Requires strong computer and internet research skills; HTML a plus! Also calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.

All candidates should have a strong background in office management and assisting upper management in day to day operations. Strong organizational skills are a must; gotta keep the boss in line some how ;)
